About The Position

This role involves operating a company delivery vehicle to complete specialized deliveries in apartment communities and multifamily properties. The driver will be responsible for loading, transporting, and unloading merchandise, verifying order accuracy, and documenting deliveries. Building strong customer relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service is key. The role also requires partnering with sales and operations teams, conducting vehicle inspections, maintaining delivery records, and assisting with warehouse operations as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED General Studies or technical school graduate or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
  • 1+ years of experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW between 14,500 and 26,000 pounds.
  • Ability to meet all applicable DOT requirements and maintain required medical certification.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull merchandise weighing up to 40 pounds, with team - lift- support available for heavier items.
  • Strong commitment to safety, customer service and operational excellence.
  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State

  • Previous experience navigating multifamily housing, apartment communities, construction sites, or other complex delivery environments preferred.
  • Experience operating forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
  • Retail, logistics, or warehouse experience

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a company delivery vehicle while maintaining all DOT, safety, and compliance requirements.
  • Complete specialized deliveries in apartment communities and multifamily properties, navigating complex delivery environments with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Load, transport, unload, and position merchandise according to customer requirements and site conditions.
  • Verify order accuracy, collect delivery confirmations, and document completed deliveries using handheld technology.
  • Build strong customer relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service during every delivery.
  • Partner with sales and operations teams to support customer needs, resolve delivery concerns, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
  • Assist with warehouse operations and material handling activities as business needs require.
