This role involves both warehouse duties and driving responsibilities. Warehouse duties include operating a forklift to prepare customer orders, receiving product from vendors, wrapping and banding pallets, performing general housekeeping, and assisting with loading and unloading trailers. Driving duties require performing all required safety checks, adhering to DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines, inspecting trailers for properly loaded and secured freight, performing count checks, completing required paperwork, delivering loads according to schedule, performing damage control checks, ensuring security of the vehicle and freight, driving semi-trailer trucks, straight trucks, or cargo vans to deliver products, maintaining driver logs, collecting payments for COD deliveries, recording delivery information, obtaining customer signatures, loading and unloading customer returns and damaged goods, and performing general housekeeping in the tractor and loading dock area. The role also emphasizes a strong commitment to safety, including supporting a culture of safe production, actively participating in the safety program, adhering to all safety policies and procedures, reporting incidents and hazards immediately, and properly using Personal Protective Equipment.
