About The Position

The Driver Helper position will assist the driver in the unloading and delivery of products on the route. This role involves assisting the Driver with routes delivering products consisting of multiple stops. The helper will place delivered products in various assigned storage locations at each stop according to customer’s request and maintain accuracy of delivered product with no damage due to mishandling. Duties must be performed by following the Company’s safety standards. The individual is expected to represent Ben E. Keith Company with professionalism, maintaining a positive attitude and dress code. Responsibilities also include assisting in reading maps and directions with the driver and reporting delays, accidents or other traffic and transportation situations to bases. Ben E. Keith uses dash cameras which leverage artificial intelligence to recognize safe driving, capture safety events and improve driver safety performance. These videos are also used to exonerate drivers in accidents. All drivers sign a driver consent form upon hire to confirm their understanding.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High School Education/GED required
• Able to perform repetitive lifting of over 50lbs., occasional lifting over 100lbs
• Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions
• Must be able to walk extensively
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend at the waist, stoop, and squat to lift heavy items in a proper manner
• Must have normal use of shoulders, arms, wrist, hands, feet and legs
• Must be able to read numbers and product descriptions
