About The Position
NYC Hauling is looking for a safety-conscious Driver Helper to join our Brooklyn team. This role supports garbage truck operations by manually collecting solid waste along designated routes and transporting materials to appropriate disposal sites.
Requirements
- CDL Permit preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Responsibilities
- Ride along with the driver to assist with customer service
- Load refuse bags and bring containers to the truck for proper disposal
- Direct the driver when backing the vehicle
- Assist with basic vehicle maintenance
- Operate packing mechanisms and levers to activate the loading arm
- Clean the packer blade and truck body
- Deliver positive customer service interactions
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
