About The Position

The Driver Helper position will assist the driver in the unloading and delivery of products on the route. This role involves assisting the Driver with routes delivering products consisting of multiple stops. The helper will place delivered products in various assigned storage locations at each stop according to customer’s request, while maintaining accuracy of delivered product with no damage due to mishandling. Duties are performed by following the Company’s safety standards. The role requires representing Ben E. Keith Company with professionalism, maintaining a positive attitude and dress code. The Driver Helper will also assist in reading maps and directions with the driver and report delays, accidents or other traffic and transportation situations to bases.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Education/GED required.
• Able to perform repetitive lifting of over 50lbs.
• Occasional lifting over 100lbs.
• Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Must be able to walk extensively.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend at the waist, stoop, and squat to lift heavy items in a proper manner.
• Must have normal use of shoulders, arms, wrist, hands, feet and legs.
• Must be able to read numbers and product descriptions.
• Sign a driver consent form upon hire to confirm understanding of dash camera usage.
