About The Position

The Driver Helper is tasked with assisting the Driver in the delivery, storage, and merchandising of products in assigned accounts. This role requires adherence to established time schedules and accurate timekeeping. The Helper is responsible for supporting the Driver in pre-trip safety inspections, ensuring the prompt and professional delivery of products, and safeguarding company assets. When operating as a Driver, the Helper must follow the appropriate Driver job description. The role also involves performing pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections, operating vehicles safely, and adhering to the company's safety program. Maintaining open communication with company personnel is also essential.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver License
No specified experience required

Responsibilities

Assist the Driver in the delivery, storage, and merchandising of products in assigned accounts.
Report to work with all required licenses readily available.
Work within established time schedules.
Ensure all time worked is properly and accurately recorded using designated timekeeping modes.
Support the Driver in pre-trip safety inspections of the assigned truck according to DOT regulations and company guidelines.
Assist in the accurate and prompt delivery of products to assigned accounts in a professional manner.
Follow the appropriate Driver job description when performing as a Driver on a route.
Safeguard Company products, monies, and equipment; reimbursement will be required for any losses.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections on the assigned truck according to DOT regulations and company guidelines.
Operate the vehicle safely, following applicable laws and DOT regulations.
Follow the Company's safety program.
Maintain open and clear communication with company owners, managers, and employees.
