About The Position

Waste Connections is looking for a safety conscience Driver Helper to join our growing team. This role involves safely operating on and around a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste. The Driver Helper will read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher. This is a physically demanding job involving loading and unloading, operating hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse, and disposing of trash at designated facilities. The role also requires courteous interaction with customers and performing other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. A typical schedule is Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturdays, and involves a 50+ hour work week.

• Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
• Ability to perform physical duties of the position.
