About The Position
Berger Transfer & Storage, Inc. is seeking a DRIVER HELPER to join their team in San Leandro, CA. This role involves assisting the driver with various tasks related to loading, unloading, and delivering shipments. Requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Able to follow directions
- Able to drive 26’ straight truck (Automatic)
- Able to lift 100+ lbs
- Must be at least 23 years of age
- Must have clean driving record
- Must pass DOT physical and criminal background checks as well as drug test
Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading shipments
- Vaulting and un-vaulting shipments
- Inventory control
- General warehouse duties
- Assisting the driver in checking off and loading items for delivery
- Loading with care to ensure items will not be damaged during transport
- Following Berger delivery SOP
- Assisting the driver in all tasks except driving, safety inspection, and using ELD
