Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking a dedicated Driver Helper to join their team and deliver top-notch waste disposal and recycling services. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Attention to detail and a commitment to safety

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in waste management or a similar role is a plus
Valid driver’s license preferred but not required
Bilingual Spanish or Creole

Responsibilities

Assist the Driver in the collection of waste and recyclable materials from residential, commercial, and industrial sites
Ensure waste is properly sorted and loaded into the collection vehicle
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory requirements
Communicate with the driver and other team members to ensure efficient route completion
Handle customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service
Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the vehicle
Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, including DOT requirements
Report any issues or incidents to the driver or supervisor promptly
Must be able to consistently lift, push, and pull bags and receptacles that weigh 50-75+ pounds
