About The Position

As a DOT Driver at Franklin Building Supply, you're not just behind the wheel; you're on the ground, hands-on, moving materials and making job sites run. This is a physically demanding, active role built for someone who takes pride in hard work, likes to stay moving, and wants to be home at the end of every day. Requirements

  • CDL License: Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • Current DOT Medical Card required
  • Must be able to perform consistent, heavy physical labor throughout the shift: lifting, loading, and unloading building materials by hand
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Able to operate a tablet and work with minimal supervision
  • Franklin Building Supply participates in E-Verify. All new hires must be legally authorized to work in the United States and will be verified through the federal E-Verify system

Nice To Haves

  • Previous commercial driving and forklift experience
  • Background in construction, framing, or home building

Responsibilities

  • Operate DOT-regulated Class A or B trucks to safely transport building materials to job sites
  • Load and unload building materials by hand, this role is physically demanding and requires strength, stamina, and a strong work ethic every day
  • Use a forklift to handle and stage materials efficiently at the yard and on site
  • Place and arrange materials at job sites according to framer and contractor preferences
  • Represent Franklin Building Supply professionally with customers and subcontractors on every stop
  • Process material returns accurately and efficiently
  • Work alongside your crew and foreman to keep deliveries moving and job sites stocked
  • Stay current on building materials and products to better serve customers and contractors
