As a DOT Driver at Franklin Building Supply, you're not just behind the wheel you’re on the ground, hands-on, moving materials and making job sites run. Requirements
- Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Current DOT Medical Card required
- Must be able to perform consistent, heavy physical labor throughout the shift: lifting, loading, and unloading building materials by hand
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to operate a tablet and work with minimal supervision
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and will be verified through the federal E-Verify system
Nice To Haves
- Previous commercial driving and forklift experience
- Background in construction, framing, or home building
Responsibilities
- Operate DOT-regulated Class A or B trucks to safely transport building materials to job sites
- Load and unload building materials by hand, this role is physically demanding and requires strength, stamina, and a strong work ethic every day
- Use a forklift to handle and stage materials efficiently at the yard and on site
- Place and arrange materials at job sites according to framer and contractor preferences
- Represent Franklin Building Supply professionally with customers and subcontractors on every stop
- Process material returns accurately and efficiently
- Work alongside your crew and foreman to keep deliveries moving and job sites stocked
- Stay current on building materials and products to better serve customers and contractors
