About The Position

TCI Logistics is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Driver Dispatcher to coordinate daily transportation operations, support our drivers, and deliver exceptional customer service. This hands-on role combines dispatch coordination, operational support, and box truck driving. The Driver Dispatcher will work closely with drivers, mechanics, customers, and internal teams to ensure trips are covered, schedules are maintained, and equipment is ready. This position requires the ability to drive box trucks and unload freight as needed.

Requirements

At least 12 months of verifiable box truck driving experience.
Ability to operate box trucks and physically unload freight as needed.
Ability to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening.
Familiarity with DOT compliance and Hours of Service regulations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
A team-oriented approach, sound judgment, and a commitment to ethics and confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

Dispatch or logistics experience is strongly preferred, but it does not substitute for the required box truck driving experience.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily dispatch activities, including assigning drivers, adjusting schedules, and ensuring safe and efficient trip coverage.
Oversee dispatch activities across multiple locations, including remote facilities.
Monitor and audit Hours of Service, support terminal safety activities, and reinforce safe operating practices.
Coordinate equipment logistics and maintenance scheduling with relevant teams.
Communicate clearly with customers and internal partners, resolve issues, and meet performance goals.
Organize and lead driver meetings, promoting teamwork, safety, and accountability.
Operate box trucks and perform driver unload responsibilities as operational needs require.
