About The Position

WF Steel and Crane is a leading fabricator of structural steel and overhead cranes located south of Edmonton in the Nisku Industrial Park, Alberta. With a proven history that spans over 30 years, we are renowned for our safety, quality, service, and innovative approaches and we are proud to be a privately owned and operated Canadian company. An opportunity currently exists for a Class 1 Driver, with a competitive hourly rate with overtime where applicable, and benefits (after a probationary period).

Requirements

• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drive test, 50lbs physical demands test and drug & alcohol test.
• Familiarity with the steel fabrication industry and equipment is desirable along with a good understanding of load securement and DOT rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of how to, and willingness to perform day to day servicing, maintenance and inspections on equipment is necessary.
• 3 years of Flat Deck experience, and knowledge of Over-Dimension hauling.
• Clean Commercial Drivers Abstract is a must.
• Class 1 Driver's License is required.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with the steel fabrication industry and equipment is desirable.
• Good understanding of load securement and DOT rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Representing the company by carrying out duties in a cooperative, respectful manner.
• Moving trailers, material and equipment between shops, vendors and customer sites across western Canada.
• Obeying local traffic laws and working in-line with the company's health and safety policies.
