Driver (Class C)/Warehouse
About The Position
We are currently recruiting for a Full Time Driver in Stockton, CA to provide warehouse and back up delivery driving support. The Driver is responsible for delivering electrical materials to various jobsites and facilities. This includes creating a daily delivery route based on orders received, verified material on the truck before delivery and working with the dispatch manager for any changes in the route. A Driver should be detailed oriented, a good communicator and provide a positive and professional attitude to vendors, employees, and to customers at delivery sights. Additional duties include general warehouse duties and operating a forklift.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years route delivery experience, in wholesale supply and distribution environment
- ability to read and interpret documents and writes routine correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively with customers/vendors or other employees.
- Valid CA DMV license with clean DMV record
- Detail oriented, good communications and organized skills, team player.
Responsibilities
- Checks orders for delivery.
- Drives assigned route.
- Delivers material to job site or facility.
- Communicates with dispatch manager throughout driving the routes.
- Unloads any RGA's or will calls from the route.
- Utilize an iPad to monitor track and verify customer orders.
- Communicate with customers via cell phone
- Verifies material for second route of the day.
- Responsible for cleaning the yard, stocking pipe, cleaning the trucks.
- Forklift operator, drives forklift to move or get material from high areas in the warehouse.
- Assist in general warehouse duties upon completing deliver route.
