About The Position

Wismettac is looking for a professional, safety-minded CDL Driver to be the face of our company. You aren’t just moving freight; you’re building relationships and ensuring our high-quality products reach our customers safely and on time. This role involves operating heavy-duty delivery trucks (avg 26,000 lbs), managing established routes, and providing top-tier service to our clients. It offers a blend of driving and physical activity, with opportunities for professional growth in food safety standards and logistics technology. The position includes occasional interstate and out-of-state deliveries, typically lasting 2-4 days.

Requirements

• Valid CDL with a solid driving record.
• Ability to handle strenuous physical work, including lifting, pulling, pushing 50+ lbs and maneuvering in/out of the cab.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations.
• A "safety-first" attitude.
• Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends.
• Comfortable using tablets for E-logs and reporting.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with FSMA food safety standards.
• Experience with logistics technology.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty delivery trucks (avg 26,000 lbs).
• Manage established routes and provide top-tier service to clients.
• Navigate routes safely in various weather and traffic conditions.
• Deliver products and maintain positive client relationships.
• Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections.
• Maintain electronic logs (E-logs).
• Load and unload merchandise (up to 50 lbs).
• Assist in warehouse operations when needed.
