About The Position

The Driver Class A role is focused on the responsible transporting and unloading of product to customers, while interacting daily with customers to help resolve any issues that may arise and reports to the Fleet Manager. This role is perfect for an individual who is safety conscious & self-motivated and flexible with shift start and end time. A vital member of the Fleet Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Requirements

At least 21 years old
Two (2) years of verifiable, accident-free driving experience, or completed a DOT driver training class from an accredited truck driving school
Meet all DOT requirements.
Valid Class A license with an acceptable motor vehicle record
Ability to obtain a medical examiner’s certificate of physical qualification.
Ability to drive Tractor trailers as well as rack glass trucks.
May also be certified on the Moffet (attached to the trailer).

Responsibilities

Ensure trucks are operating efficiently by performing thorough daily pre and post trip inspections
Maintain truck and driving records by reporting information, completing driver logs, and truck performance forms
Comply with organization operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local driving rules and regulations
Handling and loading/unloading glass and/or metal products, load securement, daily pre and post trip of vehicles, multiple deliveries, and customer service
Unloading could include handling loose, crated, and racked glass, metal and associated products, as well as, operating boom cranes
Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks, and adherence to all DOT regulations, safety policies, and procedures, including Critical Safety Rules, are essential functions of your job.
