About The Position

Our Drivers touch the freight! This position is responsible for the delivery of product to the customers of Pacific Coast Fresh.

Requirements

• Ability to safely operate a commercial vehicle equivalent to the class of license the driver currently holds
• Customer Service experience
• Problem-solving and attention to detail
• Ability to operate an electric pallet jack safely
• Ability to speak, read and write in English
• Be able to properly fill out a manifest, credit, and inspection sheet and drivers log on apps
• Must be able to work holidays if needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stack and un-stack product on pallets
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, carry, lift, push, pull, stoop while checking, loading, and delivering product
• pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check prior to beginning work

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of produce types and ability to determine quality a plus (but not required)

Responsibilities

• Do a complete pre-trip inspection of the vehicle
• Deliver product to customers, checking pallets tags to assure delivery to right location
• Pick up product from vendors if needed and check orders for accuracy
• Upon completion of route return to Boise depot and do a post-trip inspection
• Operate and monitor all equipment professionally and safely including manual and electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, and vehicles
• Must maintain a professional demeanor with speaking with employees, customers, and management
• Drivers typically have 4 to 5 stops per night
• Other duties may be assigned
