Driver DEPARTMENT: Shipping REPORTING TO: Plant Manager MAKS Plastics, LLC is a rotational molding and thermoforming plastic component supplier for the RV, Marine and Custom industries. SUMMARY: The Manufacturing Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials, components, and finished products between manufacturing facilities, warehouses, suppliers, and customers. This role is critical to maintaining smooth logistical operations and ensuring timely delivery of goods.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Clean driving record
  • Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience
  • Ability to pass DOT medical examination and drug screening
  • Excellent driving skills

Responsibilities

  • Operate company vehicles to transport materials, components, and finished products
  • Maintain accurate delivery and pickup schedules
  • Plan optimal routes for material and product transportation
  • Load and unload materials safely and efficiently
  • Ensure proper securing and handling of cargo
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Report any mechanical issues or vehicle damage immediately
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and basic maintenance
  • Keep accurate maintenance and repair records
  • Ensure vehicles meet all safety and regulatory standards
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and trip reports
  • Complete and submit all required paperwork
  • Track mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times
  • Record and report any incidents or discrepancies
  • Maintain electronic and physical documentation systems
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols
  • Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
  • Maintain a valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
  • Follow traffic laws and company driving policies
  • Complete required safety training and medical examinations
  • Verify accuracy of shipments and deliveries
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials
  • Use appropriate material handling equipment
  • Ensure proper packaging and protection of goods during transport
