About The Position

Class 1 Driver – Calcium Division Tiger is seeking professional Class 1 Drivers to operate tractor-trailer units for the safe and timely delivery of calcium chloride to customer sites and field storage locations throughout Western Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring secure load handling, maintaining compliance with transportation regulations, and representing Tiger with professionalism at all delivery locations. As part of our hiring process, candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment screening, which may include drug and alcohol testing as well as a criminal record check. Requirements

  • Valid Class 1 driver’s license.
  • Minimum 3 years Super B driving experience.
  • Clean driver’s abstract.
  • Geographic knowledge of Western Canada.
  • Ability to put tire chains on.
  • Knowledge of Federal Hours of Service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and adapt to change quickly.
  • Team player with the ability to communicate at an acceptable level with dispatch and customers.

Nice To Haves

  • 18 Speed experience considered an asset.
  • Liquid bulk hauling, off road driving, mountain driving, TMW program.
  • Experience working on CN Rail property will be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of running hydraulic pumps.

Responsibilities

  • Operate tractor trailer unit to deliver product to customers and field storage tanks.
  • Perform pre and post-trip on truck and trailer.
  • Accurate completion of E-Log, adhering to Federal Hours of Service.
  • Loading and unloading product.
  • Represent the company to the customer and the general public in a professional manner.
  • Accurate way-bill recording through TMW.
  • Completion of timesheets, fuel envelopes and mileage envelopes.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
  • Complete daily job hazard assessments.
  • Adhere and promote Tiger’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
