About The Position

The Driver CDL position is crucial in ensuring the timely and safe transportation of durable goods from our manufacturing facility to various distribution points. This role requires a dedicated individual who can operate commercial vehicles while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the goods during transit, ensuring they arrive in excellent condition. Additionally, the driver will play a key role in managing delivery schedules and communicating effectively with the logistics team. Ultimately, this position contributes significantly to our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in driving commercial vehicles, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
• Strong driving abilities and a thorough understanding of safety regulations.
• Effective communication skills are necessary for coordinating with dispatch and ensuring timely deliveries.
• Attention to detail is critical when conducting vehicle inspections and maintaining accurate logs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with durable goods transportation.
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and transportation management systems.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, will enhance the driver's ability to address minor issues independently, contributing to overall efficiency.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems can streamline the delivery process and improve operational workflows.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles to transport durable goods to designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
