About The Position

The Driver/C.N.A. position involves driving residents to and from scheduled appointments using company vehicles. This role requires managing time effectively to accommodate resident needs, collaborating with other drivers, and maintaining the company vehicles. The position also involves communicating with residents, medical personnel, and the public regarding transportation, as well as staying up-to-date on training and maintaining resident confidentiality. Fostering teamwork and performing other assigned duties are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

Compassion for and desire to work with seniors!
6 months preferred with no more than one moving violation within the last 3 years.
Valid Driver's license
CDL, where applicable.
Demonstrates the ability to perform generally acceptable driving maneuvers applicable to the respective vehicles used.
Requires regular, predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

Serves as the primary driver for whatever transportation is needed.
Manages time and location to accommodate resident appointments.
Works with other Drivers and System Coordinator to maximize efficiency in transportation services.
Maintains vehicles with documents, fluids, filters, tires, brakes, windshield wipers, and safety devices.
Maintains lifts and straps used to secure residents and wheelchairs during transportation.
Reports all vehicle damage and deficiencies to the Systems Coordinator or supervisor.
Communicates with residents, medical, office personnel, and the general public regarding transportation needs and requirements.
Keeps up to date on all required and in-service training.
Maintains confidentiality and privacy of community/resident records and communicates with dignity and respect.
Routinely checks the schedule for possible changes.
Foster teamwork with co-workers, show initiative in overcoming obstacles, take actions that assist others beyond job responsibilities, and have a positive impact on co-workers, residents, and visitors.
Seek out and perform other duties as assigned or needed.
