About The Position

Point Quest is hiring Drivers & Behavioral Aides for full-time positions in El Dorado Hills, CA. This role involves split shifts, with one part focused on driving students safely to and from campus and the other part as a Behavioral Aide. As a Behavioral Aide, you will implement behavior intervention plans, provide one-on-one instructional support, and help students develop essential classroom skills. You will collaborate closely with teachers and clinical staff to offer personalized care to students with learning, social, emotional, or behavioral needs. The driving component ensures the safe transportation of students.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience working in a school or treatment setting with students facing learning, social, or emotional challenges.
  • Valid driver's license required and clean DMV record.
  • Ability to read and use a map/ GPS.
  • DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background, TB Clearance., and DOT Physical required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • A two-year degree or equivalent combination of training and experience is preferred.
  • Pro-ACT, CPI, or CPR certification
  • Experience with students needing behavioral, social, or emotional support
  • Bachelor's degree in related field (required for BA III level)

Responsibilities

  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEP) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)
  • Provide one-on-one instructional support tailored to student needs
  • Apply ABA methodologies to support targeted behavior goals
  • Respond to crisis situations using Pro-ACT or CPI intervention techniques
  • Monitor and supervise students during class, breaks, meals, and transportation
  • Record daily data on student behavior, skills progression, and learning objectives
  • Communicate with teachers and supervisors regarding student progress and concerns
  • Adhere to all driving laws and techniques to minimize risks, ensuring safe operation of vehicles at all times.
  • Monitor students during transportation, maintaining safety and security.
  • Complete daily logs such as van attendance, 1:1 logs, behavioral logs, and fuel purchases.
  • Follow protocols for loading, unloading, and securing all passengers, including the four-point securement of wheelchairs and scooters when necessary.
  • Run program errands, including package deliveries, late runs, and transporting students to workability events and other appointments as needed.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and on-board equipment functionality and cleanliness; report any issues requiring maintenance or repair.
