The Driver Associate (CDL) plays a vital role in ensuring the safe, accurate, and timely transportation of healthcare-related products across the United States. This position is responsible for operating commercial motor vehicles while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, customer-oriented, and committed to delivering excellence with every shipment.

Requirements

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle being operated.
  • Clean driving record with no major violations or preventable accidents within the last three years.
  • Ability to successfully pass a DOT physical examination and drug screening.
  • Knowledge of vehicle safety inspections and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Understanding of federal and state transportation regulations.
  • Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and professionalism.
  • Must be okay with going out 3-4 days a week (overnight)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous long-haul or regional commercial driving experience.
  • Experience using Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs).
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation and route-planning systems.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform basic vehicle troubleshooting and minor maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial motor vehicles to transport products to designated customer locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Load, unload, and secure cargo to ensure safe transportation.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, inspections, and deliveries.
  • Utilize Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) and GPS systems as required.
  • Coordinate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and internal team members.
  • Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety procedures.
  • Report accidents, incidents, vehicle defects, or maintenance concerns immediately.
  • Ensure deliveries are completed professionally and on schedule.
  • Represent iMedical with exceptional customer service during every interaction.
