About The Position

This role will Assist driver with onsite segregation of waste and packaging and videotaping and destruction of DEA Controls. The Driver Assistant will act as a witness at customer locations where DEA controlled substances are involved. They will ride along with a CDL Driver to assist with duties at their stops. The Driver Assistant will video the destruction process of DEA controlled substances and upload video into employer system. This role requires up to 75% overnight travel based on routes. The Driver Assistant will load containers and supplies to truck for daily service stops. They may assist in maintaining inventory and storage of hazardous materials in accordance with appropriate regulations and policies, practices, and procedures. The Driver Assistant must follow all Health & Safety/Job Safety Analysis (JSA's) procedures as outlined in procedures and policies. They will complete paperwork legibly, accurately, and in a timely manner. This role performs related work and additional duties as requested or assigned by supervisor/manager. The Driver Assistant will have regular contact with external customers and different levels of personnel on a daily basis. The candidate must meet all requirements for handling DEA regulated waste. The Driver Assistant may drive a non-DOT regulated vehicle to customer sites to witness regulated waste collection as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge OSHA Regulations.
  • Proficiency with Windows based programs (i.e. Excel and Word)
  • Ability to operate a powered industrial truck, e.g., forklift
  • Clean driving record
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow procedures.

  • One or more years related experience preferred.
