About The Position

Bonhams is seeking an experienced and committed shuttle-driver/art-handler to join their organization. This role is critical for executing routinely scheduled movements of valuable and fragile commodities, supporting interoffice transfers of artworks and objects. The position involves monthly long-distance hauls between MA, NY, and CA offices, galleries, and warehouses. This is a full-time truck driver position that requires proficiency in relocation-moving, art-handling, and packing skillsets. The role will also perform duties related to client/residential/estate collections. The position works alongside a co-driver while on the road and as part of Operations teams when docked at locations. The primary home of the Transportation team is Marlborough, MA, making MA residence preferable.

Requirements

Experience in long-haul trucking is mandatory.
Ability to work well independently and participate meaningfully in team settings and alongside an assigned co-driver.
Clean driving record with no history of major infractions or accidents.
Background check required.
Valid Driver’s License (no CDL required).
Experienced in operating/driving box trucks.
Experienced in art handling / relocation moving / packing.
Exceptional punctuality and reliability.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a warehouse is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform continuous transportation operations, including monthly transfers between NYC/MAR and MAR/BOS locations.
Truck loading/off-loading.
Item pulling/placing.
Barcoding/scanning.
Condition reporting.
Soft packing.
Provide client service excellence and represent Bonhams when working in the field.
Help build closer relations with clients.
Perform other duties as assigned by your line manager.
