About The Position

The Driver/Activities Assistant at The Homestead at Montrose coordinates social, recreational, purposeful, and spiritual activities for residents with psychological, physical, and cognitive challenges. The role includes assisting with planning trips and outside activities, arranging transportation and resident supervision, completing assigned reporting and documentation, and following safety codes. The position is part-time, 18 hours per week, with six-hour shifts on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Pay is $17.40–$19.65 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

High school graduation or equivalent education is preferred; preference is given to people who have completed courses in therapeutic recreation.
A minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
To operate a company vehicle, applicants must be at least 21 years of age and meet the organization's MVR standards.

Responsibilities

Follow defined safety codes while performing duties.
Perform other department duties or special assignments as directed by the Activities Director.
