About The Position

TruckPro is seeking a Driveline Technician who will be responsible for rebuilding drivelines and grinding flywheels. This role involves the complete process of assembling and disassembling drivelines, including washing, inspecting, and discarding damaged parts. The technician will take micrometer measurements of flywheels, set grinders, and regrind them to specifications. Key duties also include preparing lists of required replacement parts, pulling new parts from inventory, completing necessary paperwork, painting and labeling parts, and reassembling, timing, and balancing units as needed. The technician will be responsible for tagging units, placing them in inventory for customer pick-up, submitting work orders for invoicing, and maintaining a clean work area while adhering to all environmental, health, and safety standards. Requirements

  • One year of driveline technician experience within the heavy-duty industry
  • Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs
  • Possess your own tools and/or the willingness to purchase tools required for the job as you advance in your skill level and responsibilities (TruckPro offers a tool purchase or reimbursement program)
  • Valid driver's license and/or CDL with good driving record

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and disassemble drivelines; wash parts, inspect parts and discard all damaged parts
  • Take micrometer measurement of flywheels; set grinder and regrind flywheel to specifications
  • Prepare list of required replacement parts for the work order
  • Pull new parts from inventory and complete the appropriate paperwork
  • Paint and label parts
  • Reassemble, time and balance if required
  • Tag units as required
  • Place units in inventory for customer pick up as required
  • Submit work order for invoicing
  • Clean work area as required and maintain equipment; Adhere to all environmental, health and safety standards
