About The Position
This role involves conducting drive-by inspections of properties to document their occupancy status and physical condition. Mortgage companies and banks are legally required to maintain records of all mortgaged loans, and this position fulfills that need by sending a Property Inspector to physical properties. The inspector's task is to take specific photos and determine if the property is occupied or vacant. The inspector then uses a mobile app to report the general condition of the property. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with flexible schedules, such as those working for Uber, Lyft, Door Dash, or in pizza delivery, as it offers income based on area and volume, with the potential to complete several inspections per hour. Rural areas may offer higher pay per inspection. The more efficiently inspections are completed, the more assignments will be provided.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Must have dependable transportation (good gas mileage is a plus).
- Must have a smartphone (Android or iPhone).
- Must have a printer/scanner (or easy access to both).
- Must have a desktop/laptop or tablet to print forms.
Responsibilities
- Determine if a property is occupied or vacant.
- Rate the property as Good, Fair, or Poor.
- Take photos of the property using a smartphone.
- Fill out a form on a smartphone using a downloadable app.
- Answer multiple-choice questions about the property condition.
