About The Position

Petro-Hunt, L.L.C, a Dallas, Texas mid-sized independent Oil and Gas Exploration Company, is seeking a Drilling Technician for its Uptown Dallas office. Requirements

Minimum educational requirement is 2 years of college with preference given to a full degree.
Preference given to work experience in the oil and gas industry, especially related to drilling or associated regulatory agencies.
Must have good computer skills and working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
Must be well organized, detail oriented, and eager to learn more about the drilling phase.

Responsibilities

Analyze data of current and historical drilling operations for continuous improvement efforts.
Assist Drilling Engineer with industry research as well as potential acquisitions.
Work closely between various departments to streamline the planning and permitting processes.
Maintain well files and associated drilling documents in an organized and thoughtful manner.
Work closely with IT and Engineers to help support operations with necessary hardware and software.
Attend high level planning meetings and help maintain a clean and detailed rig schedule for company wide distribution.
Assist Drilling Engineer in the well design process.
Work closely with Engineers and HSE to maintain and review all MSAs, contracts, insurance, and other pertinent safety documents.
Combine and file various quarterly and yearly reports.
