About The Position

Kiewit is seeking an experienced Drilling Foreman to support road construction, grading, and earthmoving operations near Study Butte, Texas. The role involves planning, coordinating, and organizing people, equipment, tools, and materials to ensure safe, efficient, and timely project execution. The Drilling Foreman will lead and train drilling, blasting, and rock excavation operations, ensuring equipment is operated and maintained correctly. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate reporting records, assisting in weekly scheduling, and ensuring work is completed within estimated costs and to quality standards. The position also emphasizes safety, requiring the foreman to be responsible for the crew's safety and conduct all operations according to company and government safety rules. Developing and maintaining a proper crew attitude through toolbox meetings and clear communication of safety concerns, work scope, plans, and schedules is also a key duty.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Foreman.
  • Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and organize people, equipment, tools and materials to promote the safe, efficient and timely construction of the project.
  • Lead and train all drilling, blasting, and rock excavation operations to ensure safe, efficient, and productive project execution.
  • Ensure that construction equipment is correctly operated and maintained.
  • Maintain accurate reporting records including job quantities, productivity rates, time sheets, and daily management reports.
  • May assist in developing a weekly schedule and in carrying out sequence of activities for assigned crew.
  • Responsible for timely completion of work assignments within the estimated costs while maintaining the company’s reputation for quality workmanship/product.
  • Responsible for the safety of those on the crew and will conduct all operations according to all applicable company and government safety rules.
  • Will develop and maintain a proper crew attitude by conducting toolbox meetings and communicating safety concerns, work scope, plans and schedules to leadmen and crews.

Benefits

  • $70/day worked per diem is provided for travel exceeding 50 miles from the project site
  • $75/day will be provided for travel allowance
