About The Position
Intertek-PSI is seeking a Driller Assistant to join its Professional Services Industries team in Kansas City, Kansas. The role assists a Driller with soil drilling, rock coring, sampling, classifications, in-situ testing, and monitoring well installation. The position is part of Intertek-PSI, a provider of construction assurance, testing, and inspection services, including construction materials testing, geotechnical and environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
- Ability to travel up to 60%.
- Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed.
- Ability to frequently lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds; occasionally handle over 50 pounds with assistance.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Driller with loading and unloading augers and assembling and disassembling augers.
- Prepare tooling and supplies for the day’s tasks.
- Assist with locating boring locations.
- Retrieve and log samples.
- Clean and maintain equipment and perform site cleanup.
