Measuring wire elongation for proper annealing, using non-deformed packages, stringing up dies for changes, examining wire for breakouts, making gear changes, traverse adjustments, and annealer settings are also key responsibilities. The operator is responsible for weighing take-up packages, recording production, working under supervision, maintaining communication with supervisors and peers, and putting scrap into designated bins. Cross-training on equipment within the workgroup and rotating to maintain skill proficiency is required. The role also involves adhering to the company's ISO Quality System, performing quality checks, minor maintenance, and immediately reporting quality issues. Working safely, observing safety rules, and maintaining good housekeeping are conditions of employment.
