About The Position

The Drawing Handler is responsible to remove from finisher drawing frames all full cans of drawing and store them in their designated areas. They also bring empty cans back to the finisher drawing frames for re-use. Essential functions include moving full and empty cans using a transport truck, ensuring cans are aligned and neat, using proper lifting procedures, and maintaining housekeeping. The associate is also responsible for personal item storage, adhering to strict punch-in/punch-out times, attending pre-shift safety meetings, wearing assigned PPE, following all safety rules, reporting to their assigned work area promptly, and continuing work until relieved by the next shift's associate.

Responsibilities

  • Remove from finisher drawing frames all full cans of drawing and store them in their designated areas.
  • Bring empty cans back to the finisher drawing frames to re-use.
  • Move all full cans of finisher drawing from the drawing frames to the area designated by the shift supervisor using a transport truck.
  • Move all empty cans from the manufacturing floor to the finisher drawing frames or an area designated by the shift supervisor using a transport truck.
  • Keep all full cans of drawing and empty cans aligned and neat all the time.
  • Use the proper lifting procedures for loading or unloading the transport truck all the time.
  • Maintain housekeeping in the prescribed area.
  • Perform any other general duties as deemed necessary by the shift manager.
  • Arrive early enough to store all personal items in their assigned locker.
  • Punch in no earlier than 15 minutes prior to the beginning of their assigned shift and no later than 5 minutes prior to the beginning of their assigned shift.
  • Punch out no earlier than the shift will end.
  • Attend the pre-shift safety meeting scheduled to start 5 minutes prior to the beginning of their assigned shift.
  • Wear their assigned PPE in the designated areas and when performing specific tasks throughout the shift.
  • Follow all safety rules to ensure the safety of yourself and those around you.
  • Report to their assigned work area and begin work immediately following the pre-shift safety/information meeting.
  • Continue to work in their assigned work area until relieved by the associate from the following shift assigned to their job.
