About The Position

As an Everpure Hardware Engineer focused on DRAM, you will work with some of the best engineering teams and leaders in the industry. You will own the relationship with suppliers from the engineering side, work with other engineering leads on driving the best RAS capability for DRAM, own DRAM validation from a systems perspective for both new and existing products while continuously improving validation methodologies to ensure best-in-class quality and reliability. In this role, you will stay current with the latest product roadmap, supplier relationships, industry trends, and latest validations tools. You will work with the latest x86 and ARM based CPUs, align with SW teams to drive the latest BIOS and microcode across products. This position works with all the HW teams at Everpure, so you will be the resident expert and go to person for all DRAM related items. This role is part of the HW team so it allows the engineer to delve into other System level validation and design opportunities.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience
  • Bachelor or Masters in Electrical Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of the areas listed above and excellent debug skills
  • Familiarity with fleet-scale hardware fault management strategies that maintain system resilience in the presence of DRAM failures.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, Linux, or similar environments
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets SQL, and experience visualizing data
  • Excellent communication skills with strong execution and schedule discipline
  • Solid experience using Jira and other bug-tracking tools
  • Experience working with lab debug tools oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc
  • Experience working with 3rd party suppliers and driving relationships and roadmaps

Nice To Haves

  • Though the position focuses on DRAM driving peripheral qualification efforts, other technologies on the motherboard maybe required including: DRAM, x86/ARM CPUs, PCIe

Responsibilities

  • Defining test plans and validation for DIMMs from a system perspective
  • Performing hands-on lab characterization of DIMM Modules and interfaces
  • Running stress tests to characterize signal integrity
  • Injecting errors to characterize correct behaviour
  • Using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers as necessary for validation and debug
  • Understanding and ability to debug serial and management busses as necessary
  • Writing clear validation reports and communicating results to cross-functional engineering teams, including hardware, software, and operations
  • Owning and reporting field and manufacturing statistics across various DIMM vendors
  • Driving reporting of operations and factory data
  • Working with RAS architects and helping drive error handling strategy
  • Working across all Everpure products and driving alignment of BIOS as it pertains to DIMMs
  • Supporting reviews of hardware designs and JDM validation reports, and assisting software and diagnostics engineering with lab debug
  • Owning products from cradle to grave, including reviewing field failures, driving down failure rates, and performing root cause analysis on abnormalities
