About The Position

Foremost has an immediate opening for a full-time Draftsperson, based out of our office in Lloydminster, Alberta reporting into our Drafting Manager. This position is responsible for applying technical expertise and experience in structural, piping, vessel, tank, bin and ULC tank drafting to support the design and manufacturing of Foremost products. You don’t have experience with these products? No worries, we will mentor you. New Graduates from Technical schools are welcome to apply. Foremost is a great place to develop and showcase your CAD skills, while learning about the products that we design and build. Requirements

  • Technical diploma or ability to demonstrate CAD knowledge required
  • Recent Polytechnic graduates encouraged to apply
  • CAD Drafter Design Technologist
  • Autodesk Inventor experience is preferred, but other 3D parametric CAD experience will be considered
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills
  • The ability to be successful in a dynamic working environment
  • Willingness to learn

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment would be considered an asset but is not necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Detailed design of a diverse array of oilfield and agricultural equipment including tanks, bins, pressure vessels, piping packages, and structural skids.
  • Optimize utilization of CAD programs to design and draft Foremost Products.
  • Prepare 3D models and drawings to meet customer specifications and scope of work.
  • Complete drawings according to the design as stipulated by the Design Engineer or the Senior Design Staff complete with Bills of Material and weld details.
  • Review work to ensure drawings meet Foremost standards for format, accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production staff to solve manufacturing problems and to optimize processes.
  • Other duties as required.
