About The Position

The Intern Drafter will assist other drafters in preparing drawing packages for issuance of offshore/onshore piping, structural and electrical design systems utilizing/training in 2D and 3D modeling software.

Requirements

• Requires current enrollment in an accredited drafting certificate or degree program.
• Must have a basic working knowledge of MS Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Proficient with software i.e. (AutoCAD) Autodesk.
• Ability and availability to work occasional overtime to include weekends as dictated by project requirements.
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist piping, structural and electrical groups with redline mark-ups on drawing packages.
• Assist other drafters in creating drawings for assigned projects from information supplied and verbal instructions from drafting group leaders while under their tutelage.
• Responsible for keeping their direct supervisor/group leader updated on any and all concerns relating to their respective assignments and discipline.
• Assist/learn from drafting groups to ensure that all drawings adhere to client, and/or company Drafting Standards.
• Assist/learn from drafting groups to ensure that all drawings adhere to client, company and/or industry Design Standards.
