About The Position

As a Drafting Intern, you will play a vital role in transforming sales orders, customer drawings, and construction documents into precise and accurate building drawings. You will collaborate closely with structural engineers and senior drafting personnel, working together to create exceptional results.

Requirements

• Basic math skills and working knowledge of trigonometry and geometry.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to read and understand architectural/engineering drawings.
• Working knowledge of CAD Software.
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Creating neat anchor bolt/permit drawings according to engineering designs and specifications for customer orders.
• Preparing structural drawings using CAD software.
• Reviewing and incorporating design changes from engineers, architects, and/or customers.
• Ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations.
• Preparing shipping lists and shop drawings for manufacturing.
• Reviewing and verifying all parts are correct for manufacturing.
• Following the manufacturing schedule and meeting project deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned.
