About The Position

Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking skilled Drafters to join their team. The company is a global leader in mechanical power transmission components, material handling systems, and custom forgings. The Drafter will be responsible for generating manufacturing prints, working with the ERP system, and collaborating with shop personnel to ensure manufacturing specifications are met. Safety adherence is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in Solid Edge or similar 3D modeling software is required.
  • Strong focus on accuracy and good communication in all tasks.
  • Full-time availability, with occasional Saturday overtime as needed, adherence to attendance and company policies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
  • Commitment to reliable work with a high standard of accuracy in drawings and specifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Supplemental experience in 2D AutoCAD is a plus, but not required.
  • Familiarity with basic machining practices and materials is a plus, as is general mechanical knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Generate full manufacturing prints: Create detailed drawings that meet all required standards for equipment and part assemblies.
  • Use the ERP system to create bills of materials and shop routings.
  • Collaborate with the team on the shop floor to ensure all manufacturing specifications are met.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear all required PPE for the duration of time in a safety-sensitive area.
