About The Position

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Drafter in Elkton, MD for an approximately 6-month onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will create and revise 2D CAD drawings and 3D CAD models for product, tooling, and testing components and assemblies.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in CAD drafting and modeling
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling
• Experience with Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD)
• Proficiency with Siemens NX CAD
• Experience with Siemens Teamcenter
• U.S. citizenship required

Nice To Haves

• Experience applying GD&T
• Knowledge of ASME standards

Responsibilities

• Plan, lay out, draw, and revise detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings.
• Create 2D CAD drawings and 3D CAD models for product, tooling, and testing components and assemblies.
• Complete details of major layout drawings prepared by others using standard engineering drafting practices.
• Determine scaling and add reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning.
• Prepare specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations.
• Prepare complete production detail drawings.
• Contribute design modifications to improve product quality or facilitate manufacturing operations.
