About The Position

The Drafter utilizes 3D CAD software to create detailed 2D Sketches and 3D Models, based on customer furnished engineering and internal requirements, to be utilized throughout the process of manufacturing aerospace components.

Requirements

  • Takes responsibility for own actions and results
  • Understands and complies with company policies and guidelines as described in the Employee Handbook, the Employee Safety Manual and the Quality Management System. Complies with rules and procedures of a drug-free workplace.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and proficient with CAD software.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of an Aerospace related technical or certificate program
  • Experience using CATIA software
  • Experience using Siemens NX 10 or later
  • Experience using 3D model comparison software
  • Experience with LWG file’s and Adobe

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret customer supplied engineering, GD&T, and related specs
  • Convert 3D datasets between software’s as necessary
  • Generate 2D Sketches depicting authoritative 3D data
  • Generate 3D Models representing authoritative 2D data
  • Create 1:1 scale mylar PCM’s as necessary
  • Receive customer supplied files and sort them into respective locations on the company network
  • Document unique manufacturing processes with graphical aids (Tech Cards)
  • Follows all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
