About The Position

As a Draftsman at Velis Associates, you will collaborate with our project management team to design various elevator cab interiors, entrances, and architectural products. The Draftsman/AutoCad Operator must be able to prepare complete and accurate detail drawings for approval and fabrication documents from project layouts, architectural plans, detail drawings, field survey, or notes. When required, will revise Shop drawings based on Architect/GC comments as presented by PM. The right candidate will possess the necessary skills and drive to analyze situations and find solutions to challenges. The ideal candidate will be competent in managing their time and activities and must embrace our Project Management processes and systems. Candidates must possess a 'can-do' perspective in their professional attitude. They will be detail-oriented and demonstrate a strong work ethic. They will be sticklers for accuracy in their own work.

Requirements

Proficient in the use of AutoCad.
Ability to read Blueprints.
Intermediate math skills.
Clear written and verbal skills.
Ability to work in a group.
Ability to independently manage time.
Ability to demonstrate adaptability.
Positive attitude and passion for the role.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of construction and fabrication methods a plus.
