About The Position

Superior Energy Services is a global oilfield products and services company with a strong focus on safety and core values. Sonic Connectors, a Superior Energy Services Company, is seeking a CAD Draftsman to join their team in Midland, TX. This role will be on-site five days a week. The CAD Draftsman will be responsible for assisting in the design and creation of drawings for manufactured materials, ensuring compliance with API GA requirements and company quality standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Minimum of two (2) years of design experience for Engineering CNC Manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with CAD software, including Inventor Professional, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
• Ability to adapt to new design tools and technologies.
• Strong knowledge of API 6A standards in design and manufacturing.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
• Strong writing skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Produces error-free work.
• Deadline-oriented.
• Ensures that customers' requests come first.
• Self-starter who thinks of innovative, faster ways to accomplish tasks.
• Works with minimal supervision.

• Experience working in an Oil and Gas Industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and drawings of manufactured materials within API GA requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards.
• Create and revise 2D drawings and 3D CAD models for parts.
• Produce fully-dimensioned, manufacturing drawings and wellhead stack-ups.
• Convert sketches, prototypes, and supplier data into CAD models for parts.
• Collaborate directly with the engineering department to support sales, operations, manufacturing, and other departments.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), material lists, revision histories, and fabrication/assembly documents.
• Assist engineering with work instructions, operational procedures, and technical documentation.
• Maintain CAD library, templates, standards, and drawing revisions.
• Manage control/drawing release procedures.
• Support the engineering department with projects, design testing, and other similar tasks.
• Support the inspection/quality department by supplying drawing documentation and revisions after production feedback.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
