About The Position

Directly support the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), F/A-18 & EA-18G Fleet Support Team (FST) at Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) Naval Air Station (NAS) North Island, California. Candidate will posses: Product Lifecycle: Strong understanding of the engineering product lifecycle, including prototype, design, production, sustainment, and obsolescence phases. 2D Drafting: Ability to create, modify, and expertly interpret 2D mechanical drawings. 3D CAD: Proficiency in creating and modifying 3D CAD models using CREO and/or SolidWorks. Standards: Working familiarity with MIL-SPEC and ASME standards. Documentation: Experience building and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs), Parts Lists, and drawing trees. Soft Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills; must be a self-starter who works well independently and integrates seamlessly into a team environment.

Requirements

Strong understanding of the engineering product lifecycle, including prototype, design, production, sustainment, and obsolescence phases.
Ability to create, modify, and expertly interpret 2D mechanical drawings.
Proficiency in creating and modifying 3D CAD models using CREO and/or SolidWorks.
Working familiarity with MIL-SPEC and ASME standards.
Experience building and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs), Parts Lists, and drawing trees.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Must be a self-starter who works well independently and integrates seamlessly into a team environment.
CAD/CAM software experience required.
Current Secret clearance is required.
Three (3) to 10 years of experience in drafting/modeling.
HS Diploma
Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods, in an office environment.
