Requirements

must have previous experience in unitized curtainwall in a drafting role.
Detailed knowledge and use of AutoCad.
Demonstrated proficiency for reading and understanding Architectural and Structural Drawings.
Self motivated, strong organization skills, and strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Revit, Inventor, Vault are considered strong assets.

Responsibilities

Design and draft detailed drawings for architectural approval, shop fabrication & field installations.
Create custom designs as required for architectural proposals.
Provide complete fabrication drawings and bills of materials for each job.
Utilize all forms of curtain wall and architectural metals that Flynn offers to its customers.
Ability to recognize and solve basic and advanced Curtain Wall and UCW detailing issues.
Read and understand Architectural and Structural Drawings.
Foresee/solve and address curtain wall issues as they arise.
Ability to read, understand and review Specifications providing input for potential risks.
Resolve outstanding drawing issues and pursue contract clarifications as required.
Demonstrate seasoned understanding of Curtain Wall/Window systems.
Plan and execute Curtain Wall/Window shop drawings with input from the team leads.
Review specifications and ensure all aspects of the project have been addressed and conveyed into the final shop drawing package.
Correspond and plan the execution of projects with Estimating, Project Manager(s), and the Design/Construction teams.
Understand building construction and sequencing.
Check fabrication releases.
All other duties as required.
