Drafter
About The Position
Fetzer Architectural Woodwork is seeking a full-time Drafter to join our team in Salt Lake City. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating comprehensive shop drawings while identifying design and construction solutions that uphold our century-long reputation for excellence. In this role, the Drafter will interpret architectural plans to develop professional technical shop drawings used by our craftsmen to produce high-end millwork. You will collaborate closely with Project Managers to solve structural challenges, research materials and hardware, and provide essential sketches for our vendors and production teams.
Requirements
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to read complex architectural drawings
- Design intuition with the ability to visualize intent and identify potential construction issues
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with part-listers, programmers, and project managers
- A positive, solution-oriented attitude
Nice To Haves
- Autodesk Inventor 3D skills
- Woodworking experience
- Associate's degree in design or drafting
