About The Position

The Drafter creates drawings for electrical system designs in the electrical power generation industry. Working closely with electrical engineers, designers, and project engineers, the role produces detailed electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and supporting documentation needed to build and install systems. The position is suited to someone experienced in creating electrical drawings, control panels, and automation systems using AutoCAD Electrical or similar electrical CAD software.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience creating drawings in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software.
Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
Ability to collaborate with vendors to obtain technical information and component specifications.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Drafting & Design Technology, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
3D modeling experience.
Interest in contributing to continuous improvement of design standards and engineering processes.
Appreciation for combining engineering innovation, craftsmanship, and cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and cable drawings.
Develop and revise electrical documentation based on engineering changes and customer requirements.
Coordinate with engineers and designers to ensure accurate implementation of electrical designs.
Assist with electrical control panel design and layout in accordance with applicable industry standards.
Maintain drawing revisions and engineering documentation within company systems to ensure accurate records.
Work with vendors to obtain technical information, component specifications, and documentation.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to design standards, drafting practices, and engineering processes.
