About The Position
Develop detailed design specifications for products and structures. Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures. Apply specific functional knowledge and working or general industry knowledge. May assist in the development of solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work under general supervision and provide guidance for less experienced team members.
Requirements
- Experience providing drafting support for Electronic and Mechanical Systems
- Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Experience working within a multi-discipline team environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams tool suite
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED and 9+ years of experience developing detailed design drawings and specifications
- Associate’s degree and 7+ years of experience developing detailed design drawings and specifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience developing detailed design drawings and specifications
Nice To Haves
- Experience leading a team of drafters to complete project objectives
- Experience with document and design file control
- Experience using a PDM system to manage drawing packages including AutoDesk Vault or SOLIDWORKS PDM
- Experience design low and moderate complex components
- Experience with CAD analysis or simulation
- Experience working with existing or creating drawing standards, templates, and operating procedures
- Experience with Audio, Visual, Information Technology, or communication systems
- AutoCAD or SolidWorks Certification such as Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) Certification
- Autodesk Certified Professional Certification for AutoCAD or Inventor Certification
