About The Position

The Designer Intern provides support to the department and to its senior engineers and designers. The Intern will be exposed to a wide variety of engineering and designing tasks and responsibilities. Candidates must be able to work 10-20 hours per week. The Designer Intern is accountable for performing simple, routine tasks under close supervision of engineers, designers and drafters. Accountable for adhering to company or client drafting standards and procedures. Preparation of working drawings by transferring Engineers or Designers marks using AutoCAD. Produce construction drawings using company standards and/or drafting techniques. Assist in preparation of drawing packages for issue, including plotting drawings, making copies, assembling drawings & document packages and assuring package completeness.

Requirements

• Ability to work 10-20 hours per week.
• Recent graduate or student in training for a degree in an Engineering Technology field, Architecture, or Drafting and Design degree/certificate.
• Concentration in another degree program may be considered.
