About The Position

DPP is seeking a Drafter II for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing industry. This is a 6-month W2 contract position located onsite in Elkton, MD. The Drafter II will support our CAD Modeling and Drafting department by creating 2D CAD drawings and 3D CAD models for Product, Tooling, and Testing components and assemblies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in CAD Drafting and modeling.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the application of GD&T, and ASME standards.

Responsibilities

• Plans, lays outs, draws, and revises detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts, established references, and standard data in a field of specialization such as structures, devices, mechanics, electrical, or electronics.
• Utilizes computer-aided design equipment, Siemens NX.
• Completes details of major layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices.
• Determines scaling; inserts necessary reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning; prepares specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations; prepares complete production detail drawings; contributes design modifications to improve quality of product or facilitate manufacturing operations.
