About The Position

The Drafter is responsible for completing specifically assigned drafting projects as assigned by the Product Development Manager. The role develops production drawings, bills of material, tooled parts layouts, and vendor drawings for assigned models and projects, and coordinates related work with other Drafters. The Drafter maintains current drafting standards and the library of production drawings and bills of material so departments can access current reference information. Experience with modular homes, manufactured homes, commercial modular buildings, RV park models, and/or tiny homes is a plus.

Requirements

• High school diploma with exposure to drafting fundamentals.
• One or more years of manufacturing assembly experience or one or more years of drafting experience.
• Strong computer skills and understanding of relevant software packages.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Motivated self-starter with a strong tolerance for change.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with modular homes, manufactured homes, commercial modular buildings, RV park models, and/or tiny homes.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate and complete production drawings, bills of material, tooled parts layouts, and vendor drawings for assigned models and projects.
• Coordinate drawings and bills of material with other Drafters on shared projects to support timely completion.
• Keep abreast of current drafting standards to maintain continuity during drawing and bill of material development.
• Maintain the library of production drawings and bills of material as a central source of current reference information accessible to all departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
